Former Obama Appointee to the Department of Homeland Security to Help Lead the Firm’s Government Advisory Practice
NEW YORK and NAPLES, Fla. – October 28, 2020 – Hilton Global Associates Inc. (“Hilton Global”), a provider of timely, relevant, and actionable investigative due diligence for mission-critical decisions made by governments and other clients worldwide, announced today that global security and immigration expert Peter Vincent has joined the firm as Global Security Advisor. In this role, Vincent will provide independent consulting services to Hilton Global and will assist in advising countries on economic development strategy and the implementation of investor migration and residency- and citizenship-by-investment (RBI/CBI) programs.

“Peter’s reputation within the global security and investment migration communities is unmatched, and we’re thrilled that he’s joined us to assist in growing this part of our business,” said Melissa Kelley-Hilton, Founder and CEO of Hilton Global. “His experience across economics, politics, and policy, along with his extensive global network, will be invaluable to our government clients as well as to our other clients looking to mitigate risks and implement safe and effective due diligence programs.”

Kelley-Hilton has over ten years of direct experience as an authorized due diligence provider for CBI programs. She has assisted governments with establishing program guidelines and best practices and has conducted thousands of due diligence investigations on applicants in more than 117 countries.

Over the last 20 years, Vincent has developed a remarkable track record of experience in global security and is recognized as an expert in immigration, counterterrorism, money laundering, international affairs, and human rights violations. He was appointed by President Barack Obama to serve as the Principal Legal Advisor with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, as well as the Acting Director of the Office of International Affairs and the Senior Counselor for International Policy. He also represented the U.S. Department of Justice at the U.S. Embassy in Bogotá, Colombia. After 12 years of federal government service, Vincent became General Counsel of Thomson Reuters Special Services, before serving as Head of Government Advisory at Henley & Partners, a specialist in citizenship and residency planning. Vincent is also currently Vice President of International Policy at BORDERPOL, a global association of experts in border security and migration management.

“It’s an honor to work with Melissa, whom I’ve known for many years. She is one of the most intelligent and diligent investigators in the industry,” said Vincent. “Melissa brings unparalleled experience, an incredible work ethic, and, perhaps most importantly for this industry, a very finely calibrated moral compass. I’m looking forward to joining Melissa and this skilled team of investigators to help governments and other clients around the world execute the most comprehensive and secure global due diligence programs possible.”
